Racket League Rules
Rule 01
General Rules
Matches are governed by UCAN Sports official racket sport rules.
Referee's/umpire's decision is final and must be respected at all times.
Players must arrive ready to play at the scheduled match time.
Games will start strictly on time.
Players/teams arriving 10 minutes after the scheduled start time will automatically forfeit the match.
All shots and serves must comply with the rules of the respective racket sport.
Center restart will take place after every point as per the applicable sport's rules.
Rule 02
Match Format
League Matches: Best of 3 sets (or as specified per program)
Knockout Matches:
Best of 5 sets for semifinals and finals
Tiebreaks apply as per the sport's standard rules
Match Duration: As dictated by the format; no artificial time cap on league matches
Rest: Standard warm-up and rest periods as per the sport's governing rules
Rule 03
Team & Player Composition
Singles: 1 player per side
Doubles: 2 players per side
Mixed Doubles: 1 male and 1 female per side
All players must be registered before the start of the league.
Unregistered players are not permitted to compete in any official match.
Rule 04
Equipment & Attire
Proper non-marking sports shoes must be worn on court at all times.
Players are responsible for bringing their own rackets and any personal gear.
Shuttlecocks / Balls: Provided by the league for official matches.
Appropriate sports attire must be worn; offensive or inappropriate clothing is not permitted.
Rule 05
Points System
Win: 3 points
Loss: 0 points
Forfeit win: 3 points awarded to the opposing player/team
Standings are decided by:
Points
Sets won
Games won
Head-to-Head (if applicable)
Rule 06
Code of Conduct
All players must maintain sportsmanship and respect toward opponents, umpires, and officials.
Verbal or physical abuse will result in immediate suspension.
Racket abuse, intimidation, and unsporting behavior will not be tolerated.
Players must accept the umpire's decision without argument.
Any player found guilty of match-fixing or deliberate unfair play will be permanently banned from all UCAN Sports competitions.
Rule 07
Disciplinary Actions
Warning:
Issued for minor violations or unsporting conduct
Point Penalty:
A point is awarded to the opponent for repeated violations
Disqualification:
Player must leave the court immediately
Match is awarded to the opponent
Severe Misconduct:
May result in multi-match bans
Duration decided by UCAN Sports Management
UCAN Sports reserves the right to take disciplinary action as deemed appropriate.
Rule 08
Payments & Refunds
Full registration fees must be paid before the first match.
No refunds once the league has commenced.
The last day for refunds is 7 days before league start.
Players/teams failing to complete payments on time may be suspended or removed from the league.
Rule 09
Final Authority
UCAN Sports Management reserves the right to:
Amend rules if required
Resolve disputes
Take final decisions in unforeseen situations
All decisions by UCAN Sports Management are final and binding.

You can register for a league by visiting our Programs page, selecting your desired program, and completing the registration process. You can register as a team/pair or as an individual player.

Yes! If you don't have a partner, you can register as an individual player. Our administrators will pair you with another individual player.
Matches are played at various racket sport facilities and indoor courts across Mumbai. The specific venue for each match is listed in the fixture schedule.
You can view match schedules on the Schedule page, standings on the Standings page, and match results on the Results page. All are accessible from the main navigation menu.
Players are responsible for their own rackets and personal gear. Proper non-marking court shoes are mandatory. Shuttlecocks and balls are provided by the league for official matches.
All disputes must be raised with the match umpire immediately. Post-match disputes can be escalated to UCAN Sports Management whose decision will be final and binding.
